A while back I tried to host a plus! CS tourny, but it didn't work out. Now I got the server working (it's tested :D) and I'm ready to go.  Please use a name similar to that of the one you use on the forums :). Note: The server will be open all day, and LeeJefferey is on it right now screwing around, so feel free to play and/or warm up.

Server IP is:
154.5.71.89:27015

Next Tournament will be this Saturday!



Note: We'll have another tourny this weekend so even those who aren't in North America can play (bcz of the time zones).

Put fun_allinone in the map rotation list! (Dont know if it is available in CS: Source)
I dont play CS in my home computer but I play in a local internet cafe.
I play CS 1.6 but they do have CS: Source...

Well that went....well....

The most we had was a total of 6 ppl for like 10 minutes, then it was 2 on 2....then 1 on 1.....the 0 on 1........now 0 on 0.......:p

Why dont you just leave the server on all the time, then people can just join in whenever they want to.

And don't make it a tourney, just gaming for people who dont take gaming too seriously, and just want a bit of fun.

If you try and organise anything, it never really works tbh.

Firstky: It isn't really a tourny. We do just play for fun :-/

Secondly: Can't leave it on all the time. It's my main PC and it has Blue LED fans + is in my room :P
LED lights + me = no sleep :P

ok, what system specs do you need to run a CS server?

I got an old pc i made ages ago, 750mhz, 128RAM, 18gb HDD, no 3d gfx.

Do I need to be able to run CS: S, or is there some server only software i can use?

Edit: also, is 512kbps download and 256kbps upload good enough to host a server, my pc is pretty quiet there are no leds :refuck:, and i might be able to leave it on for a whole day, every now and again.

I am also getting CS: S in a day or two.

You need Source DS, but that old PC won't be any good :p

Just leave it to my server. Ppl don't need to connect 24/7 anyways :p

I'm not saying people dont need to connect 24/7, but by having a PC on for 24 hours, it gives the opportunity for a lot more to play.

its over for now, next month i might rent a server for that month, and then alternate the game that is being hosted every so often, that way we can have lag free gaming, 24/7.

And ill put a vote to decide what game we play next.

It does has CS S, but it comes as its own title, not as a HL mod. And tbh, we never got more than 10 people on our home servers.

I may be able to get upto 16 players

Well we can say there were two curious different teams strangely all the msgplus users were on same team :P it was very cool coincidence

On the game in a map i odnt know the name but it looks like something aztec and i now there is a map called aztec i think tahts the one and we got our ass kicked by some pros...  we did a knife fight and all it was nice :P and one god thing was the low grav first time i saw and i ikes it a lot in cs office u shot the archives and they flew trough the window :P

I will rent a server throughout Feb, 16 players, and rotate the games every so often. This way we have a highly reliable server that is on 24/7 and lag free

My CS has gona dodgy, i can't connect any servers, it says that the games do not match, restart CS. I restart, and it says the same thing :dodgy:

Cant you reinstall? lol when i installed half life 2 and cs it took more than one hour no lie! it takes ages.. if yours too i understand you :D

i can play soon guys when u've got a chance! My css is a tad laggish.. i don't know why hl2 runs fine but i'm up for it! I live in aus so i'll have to check out the time zones later when i get back from work!
