sounds good, shame you'd probably never get any decent apps for it

(do cross OS's exist like could this menuet run windows appz that would be cool)

You can run most windows applications under Linux if you use Wine (http://www.wine.org)

i used this about 7 months ago....but it never installed itself properly...

RE: MenuetOS: 32Bit os fits on floppy by saralk on 01-18-2005 at 05:17 PM

you dont actually install it, just put it all on a floppy disk, and then restart your pc.

yeah, you take the floppy out, restart the pc, and voila its windows.

It also loads the whole OS into the RAM, so you dont need to keep the disk in once you have loaded it.

I reached 1337 posts :)

knoppix and gnoppix are examples of bootables CD's.

http://www.linuxlinks.com/Distributions/Floppy/ <-- here's a list of linux distributions on one floppy

oh my god saralk YOU ARE COOL.

RE: MenuetOS: 32Bit os fits on floppy by saralk on 01-18-2005 at 05:27 PM

ive got knoppix already, and it is pretty decent, ill probably download gnoppix later, but knoppix is a good way to get into linux.

sorry to go slightly offtopic but that wine.org leads to some french wine website :P

i found the website for it, sounds intersting shame it doesn't do every single app and is quite confusing/time consuming to use :(
