Try using a listcleaner, it will clean your allow list.

I added NoRoom's List Cleaner

he says that he only has 18 contacts on his list, so its nothign to do with having a contact list that is too full. it might just be a temp problem with the msn servers, try again later.

No, if it's a serverproblem uninstalling and reinstalling won't help. You can try the listcleaner and see if cleaning out some of those lists helps, if not...there's nothing you can do but wait.

how could the server have anything to do with my personal msn?

does any one else have this or any other probs?

another rule: Do not double post (two posts in a row from the same person)

That wont do anything good...

The problem might be the current troubles that the msn services have. But it also might be that your allow list is too full, like Ezra suggested.

So clean out your allow list.

You can do that in MSN Messenger itself: Tools > Options > Privacy
Or by using a much more convenient tool like NoRoom's listcleaner: http://noroom.msnfanatic.com/listmanager/download.html

note: the file that Ezra has posted is the old listcleaner version. The new version is a very big improvement above the old one.

Like we explained before, it is either your allow list that's too full... or the global msn services which have problems at the moment (but I highly doubt this it would be that in this case).

Note: Everybody else will say/suggest you the same thing to do.

The allow list and the contact list is 2 things. You can see youre allow list in Options in Messenger. You are allowed to have 700 in youre Allow List
RE: MSN Problem by Stephen on 01-23-2005 at 05:15 PM

You dont understand, there are 4 lists in MSNP (MSN Protocol), one of them is the contact list and another is the Allow list, and its the Allow list we are taling about here.

It has absolute nothing to do with your "random people", which is NOT a list but its a group in your contact list.
