MSN Premium & Messenger by findus on 01-27-2005 at 09:33 PM

Does anyone have any clue on how to turn the auto sign in to messenger off when you log into MSN Premium?

It's all switched off to not log in when Windows starts but as soon as you log into MSN Premium it auto signs you withoutprompting if you would like to sign in "Offline" (MSN Messenger 7.0).

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe this will help:
tools > options > general...untick "allow automatic sign in when connected to the internet"

You would think that would work, but it doesn't it still auto logs in when you connect to premium.

What you could try is not to autologin to MSN Messenger but with typing your password everytime, that should atleast give you the option to log in offline.

To remove those password(s) go to: Start > run > type in: control userpasswords2 <enter> go to advanced tab > click passwordmanagement button > select the passport you don't want in the MSN inlog list (in this case your own) and click delete..restart MSN messenger. You will see you will have to type in your password now. Aslong as you don't tell MSN Messenger to remember you (password) it stays that way

If that doesn't work i'm afraid it is indeed an MSN premium thing, maybe there's something inthere to set it not to log you into MSN Messenger automaticly.
