StuffPlug-NG Translations by TheBlasphemer on 02-02-2005 at 09:52 PM

Hi!

As some of you might have heard, StuffPlug-NG 2 supports translating.
I did not include any languages in the official package yet, as I had to hurry to release it on time,
however I do have plans to create a language pack later on,
and that's where you guys come in :)
I would like to ask if you would be able to translate StuffPlug-NG 2.0.217,
and attach it to this thread :)
If you would like me to mention another name as the author than your forum-username, please say so too :)

oh, I didn't tell how to translate yet, did I ?
in the Messenger Plus! Plugins folder there will be a new folder Called StuffPlug-NG,
in there is a folder named "Languages", open the readme.txt for instructions :)

I'm counting on you guys!

TB

PS if there's double language files, official plus translators get priority :)

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Moo on 02-02-2005 at 09:53 PM

uhh... there is no readme.txt just Howto.txt and index.txt

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by andrey on 02-02-2005 at 09:57 PM

read howto.txt then..

TB, it says "Open an existing .lng file with CreateLang.exe"
Hm...how ? CreateLang.exe doesn't open for me...nor "open english.lng with createlang.exe"
* andrey feels noobish
Windows 98 btw...

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Vilkku on 02-03-2005 at 09:20 PM

You should update te first post so that all translations are listed there, might be *a bit* easier.

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Smethead on 02-03-2005 at 09:25 PM

Dutch file included :D

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by rix on 02-03-2005 at 09:36 PM

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Vilkku on 02-03-2005 at 09:45 PM

Alpha Swedish version, to be checked by Leif.

PS. Where can I enable the "Detect deletion"-feature? I found it while translating but I can't find it in the options.

It might be there for future versions :P
Sometimes I added stuff to the lng file and found out it was impossible at a later stage...

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Martijn. on 02-04-2005 at 10:05 PM

I've made some changes to the Dutch one, and created an installer:).

No offence to your awsome job Smethead, but I noticed some mistakes and felt like correcting them;).

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Tarry on 02-04-2005 at 10:18 PM

I created an autoinstaller for all the languages released until Feb 4, 2005 22:17 GMT, although it's not as cute as |\/|artij|\|'s one. It includes translations for: Arabic, Català, Chinese Traditional, Eesti, English, Español Latino, Français, Nederlands, Norsk bokmål, Português, Svenska and Türkçe.

Download the latest version here.

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by MC.POP on 02-04-2005 at 10:21 PM

where is the credits?!?!?!

Please, if you want your language to be included into my package, gimme the .lng file and the name of the language ;)
Don't gimme installer files, I'm not going to install them all and extract the lang files :/
RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Tarry on 02-04-2005 at 10:45 PM

Last Catalan/Valencian file (without autoinstaller) @ 22:46 GMT Feb. 4 2005.

Updating the autoinstaller in my last post.

EDIT: "Català" is the name of the language :P

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by MC.POP on 02-04-2005 at 10:46 PM

TB i allready gave u mine.

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by giken on 02-08-2005 at 03:01 PM

is anyone working on the italian translation?

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by CookieRevised on 02-08-2005 at 06:26 PM

Here is a vb-script to convert the StuffPlug-NG LNG file to an INI file. Use it with some care though.

(INI files will be coded with UTF-8, afterwards you could change the coding of course (with notepad) but make sure it is in UTF-8 when you want to convert it back to a StuffPlug-NG language file)

In this way, you can use comparisson tools, other editors, etc... (incl. Choli's translator program!*)

*if you first convert the ini to unicode of course.

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by TheBlasphemer on 02-08-2005 at 06:35 PM

Cookie rocks! :D

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by CookieRevised on 02-08-2005 at 08:00 PM

thx TB :D (unfortunatly I couldn't be bothered to make it in VB. though, if I did I could use API's to convert between unicode/utf/ascii... blah, you might as well do it in VC++ (even easier/faster then -if you know C++-))

A more corrected Dutch translation, based upon Martijn's (quickly made it a bit more consistent with the dutch plus translation):
note: not yet tested

Here you go, the danish translation

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by makina-galaxy on 02-11-2005 at 10:54 AM

I've tried to install the french translation, but impossible to select french into the menu, there's just english.

I droped the lng file in the language folder and I restarted my computer. Always the same problem.

I saw that some features disapearded in this new version...

In the "Languages" folder there is a file called "index.txt" open that and add a new line like this:
filename.lng Language Name

Edit:
Yes some features is out. But features like CE/DP Stealer and TabManager will be in ver. 2.1. You can see a screenshot of the new CE/DP Stealer here: http://www.stuffplug.com/?act=news&id=8
RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by makina-galaxy on 02-11-2005 at 01:19 PM

yeah i just find that we must to edit "index.txt" that works !

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Tarry on 02-11-2005 at 03:44 PM

You could also use my language autoinstaller :P

P.D.: I'll post the new version later, which includes the Danish localization.

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by DJHasis on 02-11-2005 at 09:44 PM

Here is a full finnish translation.
It may contain a few mistakes or typos but if you find any please pm me or say them in this thread :D
Vilkku or someone please validate this so we can give TB a good finnish translation and it may probably come with the next version of StuffPlug-NG :)

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Apatik on 02-11-2005 at 10:51 PM

here's my (french) translation of it.

sorry guillaume, i've only kept a little of your work but there were some mistakes, one entry was not translated and a lot of too 'quebecer' words :p

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by rix on 02-11-2005 at 11:14 PM

So when will we see SPNG supported with these languages? :P

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Salem on 02-15-2005 at 03:09 PM

I'll do Afrikaans translation

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Dunc.F@CenturyTel. on 02-16-2005 at 06:25 AM

Is this project one that is to translate the Messenger Plus program and Stuffplug into various langages.

Or is it, (I hope) a project that will allow Messenger "conversations" be translated on the fly in the conversation windows of Messenger?

I am interested in something that would help me translate Chinese to English and visa versa.

I am using Messenger Plus 3.40.112 Beta.  I did install what I thought was a StuffPlug NG Translator  but when I issue the command /xsplang it is not recognised.

Thanks

It's just to translate StuffPlug-NG to different languages, not conversations...
It was originally in a translations forum, but some idiot moderator moved it :P
RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Dunc.F@CenturyTel. on 02-16-2005 at 07:59 AM

Is there  a solution to my problem out there??

RE: StuffPlug-NG Translations by Claaser on 02-16-2005 at 06:05 PM

On Sunday, I translated StuffPlug-NG into German, but i think, I was a little to fast. I go to revise the Translation and then I'll put it here.

Am I right with theres no German Translation yet?

I'm a German Guy, too. But I was to lazy to translate SPNG :undecided:
