iPod games, programs ext. by DJeX on 02-10-2005 at 09:52 PM

I got a iPod mini. Is it possible to put different games on it or add programs to it? Would I need a Mac?

You need to put iPod Linux on it (which I HIGHLY recommend NOT doing bcz it's prety damn unstable!)

Otherwise you have to deal with what's there.

I'm sure there are some games for it. My cousin said her father had some sort of "game" for his iPod which would play a few seconds of music, and then ask a question ("Which song is this?").

Game for iPod (commercial)

That's a game that comes pre-loaded on it - he's asking if there are additional ones you can get.

It is perfectly stable for me.

The procedure in some ways can be risky but you can restore everything to its orignal state via the format software.

Also, nitfy thing about iPod linux, you can even  use it to record sound and store it on the iPod without the voice recorder.. :D

*Cough* A guy at work is coding a new firmware with the creators of iPod Linux. He is hoping to also code some sore of emulator.

No, they won't. It's very normal to use mics as speakers and vice versa.

All speakers are microphones

Ok so say if I wanted to use iPod Linux in my iPod mini, would I need a Mac OS to load it in?
