:P geforce cards come with a duelmonitor program and it allows you to make wallpapers and stuff.

most new graphic cards are duel head (or more) which allows you to plug in more than one screen at the same time. but i also think well im pretty sure i read somewhere that you can achive the same thing with two graphic cards in your comp.

My ATI's Hydravision tool is supposed to have it somewhere, but i cant find it.

Its fairly easy Proxy, You just need a good graphics card and two monitors. Plug it in, Go into the control panel, enable the second monitor and your done!

Thanks im using that program but its only a trial which is shit but anyways, its a good program.

Windows (ME or 2000 onwards IIRC) has dual monitor support built-in, you don't need any particular card. You do need a card with DVI + VGA or 2 DVI or 2 VGA ports, or two video cards installed, so as to be able to connect both monitors.

What about if I'm using a laptop?  Has Windows 2000 on it, and my video card is a "ATI Technologies Inc. RAGE P/M Mobility AGP 2X"

Just connect any monitor to the VGA port and it will (should) work as a second monitor. (or you should be able to set it up from Display Preferences).

Multiple monitors as in having 2, 3 or more monitors for a single computer to have a wider screen.
