This is in my favourites menu

Probably IE not doing the favicon properly.

My IE also doesn't like favicon's, but sometimes it remembers favicons, but not forever. That's why I use Firefox

You can: right click on the link -> Properties -> Change Icon

If you download AM-Deadlink you can automaticly let it scan ur favorites and download and save favicons 
(for IE and Opera). It can also check ur favorites for dead links etc. (IE, Opera, Mozilla, Firefox and Netscape) (check attachment)
Remember not every site has a favicon .
