wot happens is im into drums and i personalize my away status and my name usaly contains a 
but when i have my satus to a personalized format my name changes from a to a : D plz help or create a patch thanks bbobobob

If it appears like this in the main window, then choosing contacts>Manage Contacts>View contacts by>Display name
may change it

do you mean in the contact list or in the conversation window?
