I'm still working on a plugin that puts the song (artist & title) in your nickname...I'm now working on supporting large amount of players.
I already have support for:
- Windows Media Player (v9x and v10x)
- Winamp
- RealPlayer
- Foobar
- iTunes
- Sonique (v2, and v3 beta)

It will also support Song 2 Avatar functionality
So my question to you all is: Got any more players you want me to support in my plugin? I will do my best to get it work

I think you have just listed all of the big media players there is no more decent ones.

I know I have the most common players...but if someone wants to see support for a player I will try to add it. Just to make sure "everyone" can use it for his/her favorite player.

you should go all of them, that would be great but not have it only nickname support. Make it so we can send it as like a message to another contact in case we dont want everybody nowing all at once

And maybe you could add a function to control the player from MSN.
(eg. /xmstop--to stop playing in your player)

Could easily be done for winamp...don't know about the other players though...

Thnx dude...I downloaded musikcube and found out that is had a build in winamp emulation module wich means that my plugin automaticly recognizes it as winamp

It will change allot I think...but it gives a impression how it will be.
I'm not gonna add more support for players from now on, I'm gonna focus on further coding the plugin.

Well in msn 7.0.0604 you can set a personal message underneath your nickname...
You can make it display several things includeing your current song in WMP(and iTunes, Winamp with a plug) but it's got a link to MSN Music... You could make your plug set the personal message to the song title/album/artist (order changeable by user) but without the link in it and stuff... You understand now?

Good option, but I don't think this will be a good thing for my plugin..more something for Stuffplug I guess

Hey, this plugin sounds like exactly the thing im looking for (change my msn nick for whatevers playing on itunes). Just wondering, are you still working on it?

Id like the support to just send "Artist-Title" To a certain user.. eg /xsong command or whatever. Personally i use Itunes so i cant reccomeend you anything else

I have still now release date...I'm verry busy with other things now.. I first made an standalone application to great a module to recogize all the media players..I'm done with that, second I made the Song2DP feature it's also "done" but the thing is it works with I kind of "screen capture" function to write the text onto an Image. I didn't really like this way of doing it but I couldn't find anyway else to do it. The reason why I don't like it is because it requirs the window to be visible for a time to capture it and write it to a image file. It's only for 0.5 second or less the window is visible but still...I don't like it. Thats the main reason why I still working on it....I'm trying to find out an other way for rendering the image file...
