Messenger Plus - Start Up? by kazuya on 02-24-2005 at 08:10 PM

Well... Sometimes MSG Plus starts up with my computer. But other times it doesn't, and I have to restart my computer in order for it to work.

Anyone know the problem - and how I can solve it?

In the plus preferences go to the general section, and click the miscellenious button.
Then att the bottem there should be a check box that says
"Force messenger plus to load when computer starts"

try checking that box.

I had this problem as well even though i set msg plus to start at startup, it didnt always.
I downloaded AppLoader which lets you start MSN Messenger and plus at the same time and make it executable by a shortcut. I then put this shortcut in my startup  and unchecked the things that make MSN and plus run at startup  and  i have never had the problem again.

Hope this helps :D

You don't have to restart. You could either make a shortcut to it on your desktop, or go directly to the Plus Folder (usually "C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\" for English windows) and double click on the msgplus.exe file. Close MSN completely (if it's running) and start it again.

I know what you mean. It is very annoying. I'll try the program monster.rat posted.
