i bought a need for speed hot pursuit 2 CD, but when i put in the first CD(game CD) the cd-drive starts reading the cd and then just drops it, suddenly. the cd is brand new, bought sealed. other cds work fine.
anyone knows why this is happening and any way i can correct this, i really wanna play this game

Have you got multiple drives? If so, try it in a different drive. If it still doesn't work, it may be a faulty CD.

Seems like a faulty CD to me just take it to the shop and request a replacement.  They can't refuse with faulty goods

hmm i had a problem like this with one game..it just didnt start reading an original CD so i tried and i tried but hopelessly so i inserted this copied CD and it started to read perfectly..maybe clean ur disk with a special disk cleaner or take the CD back to the shop
