My ram ran out or something and all the pictures on my list unloaded:

I'm wondering if it's possible to add a feature or code a plugin that removes all the status icons from people. I really like the text-only list.

that, i think, is not hard if you use msn 6. on msn 7 it's a bit more complicated, it involves removing the resources.

yea ive had that problem before, not sure why tho, prob low resources

I managed to get it to work but it looks pretty dodgy:P

All i did was give all of my contacts custom names, then in the contact list menu go to Plus!> Preferences...> Contact list
where you can unselect the fisrt option which should be 'Display formatting attributes in the contact list (It may not say anything depending on your version of Plus!)

You can make your list look a lot cleaner than mine, I have a lot of large spaces in names because i used custom tags inside the names when re-naming my contacts.
If you rename each of your contats Ctrl+B then (!N) [should look like (!N) ] it should look normal with a slightly bigger than usual space between the online/offline icon and the name.

The circled names have custom names of (!N) and they appear to be very close to the correct position.

Uhh, what? On your pic you still have the status icons. I don't mean turning emoticons off in your contact list. Just look at my first picture. You can turn off showing emoticons on the contact list in the MSN options you don't need to do that stuff.
