It is 4.59 mb. RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by Ahmad on 03-01-2005 at 06:39 AM
Yes, it was released about 1 week ago RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by John Anderton on 03-01-2005 at 06:56 AM
quote:Really ![]() ![]() Firefox 1.0 is 4.68 mb and Firefox 1.0.1 is 4.59 Mb ![]() ![]() And firefox is one of the few softwares that on downloading have a perfectly renamed file like "Firefox Setup 1.0.1" unlike other softwares which are quite odd. Doesnt make much of a difference but saves my time renaming. I only have to remove "setup" ![]() RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by Ahmad on 03-01-2005 at 07:04 AM
lol yea I noticed the very convenient file name, I don't of any other program that does that. RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by John Anderton on 03-01-2005 at 07:08 AM
quote:Its very very slightly slow but there arent many changes. It is a security update ![]() Newayz its only a change of 0.0.1 newayz (1.0.0 to 1.0.1) So minor changes ![]() RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by Hank on 03-01-2005 at 07:09 AM
wait for 1.1 ..but in windows its slow as compared to Linux, fast as RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by Chestah on 03-01-2005 at 07:13 AM
major security update was released, hence why they even bothered releasing a 0.1 update RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by John Anderton on 03-01-2005 at 07:18 AM
quote:I alwayz like it when that happens but usually when the version changes the size increases. Like System Mechanic 3 Pro was 3 - 5 mb and Version 5 Pro Is like 32 Mb ![]() For even a small update of ZAP i need to download the whole 6 or so mb package ![]() ![]() There are many more such cases. If its small and takes less ram then it feels good but to have more features and for more things the size does eventually have to increase i guess. true John RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by Ahmad on 03-01-2005 at 07:26 AM
quote:True, I haven't seen much improvement in that area lately.. but I once unzipped/unpacked/injected a ~129mb file into ~1.37 ![]() ![]() RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by John Anderton on 03-01-2005 at 07:27 AM

I just saw this new version two days ago, when I went to get a couple of extensions. It never popped up for me, even when I did a manual check. RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by ayjay on 03-01-2005 at 05:31 PM
Only just got the popup thingy. I can't be bothered to download it lol. I'll wait for a major change to update, it's hardly like Firefox has any noticable security probs RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by segosa on 03-01-2005 at 09:15 PM
quote: Yeah, I mean only 17 were fixed in this update. ![]() RE: Firefox 1.0.1 Released by ayjay on 03-01-2005 at 09:16 PM
