Messenger Discovery Compatibility by kuba on 03-02-2005 at 04:50 PM

Hello everyone.

Does MessengerDiscovery work with MSG+?
Will I loose some functions of either of the two?
Originally I'm using MSG+ but the only reasons why I want MessengerDiscovery are the Invisible Talking and the Imitate contacts (make it look as if a contact said something) features which MSG+ doesn't have.
Will the two work together? Without any conflicts?

Thanks a lot.
Kuba.

Do you mean like talking while appearing offline? This can be done with Stuffplug-NG 2, a plugin for Plus! ( www.stuffplug.com )

I don't see the point of this feature

Yes. I have had them together for some time and no conflicts(Y)
If you have StuffPlug there is a few though because they both have notifications about closing conversations and can talk invisible but all you have to do is chose which one you want to use to do what. but thats it really.

Although I could sugguest not using the same feature on both programs at the same time incase this causes conflicts between the two programs :)

Ok, thanks. I'll use MSG+ without the plugin with Discovery and see how it goes.
One more question, just in case. How do you backup the data from MSG+? (Like custom nicks, away messages etc.)

Theres a setting on the bottom of the Prefrences menu to allow you to back up and restore Plus! data
