AC3 Sound problem by Barto on 03-03-2005 at 02:01 PM

When I playback a video in my pc, in any player (microdvd, wmp or winamp) the sound goes up and down, I mean, in a second it can be loud and then just mute. It is not with this movie, because ocurrs with others videos too. The only info I have is that the audio codec is AC3. I hope some of you know what's happening, thanks :)

You are probably missing or a corupt codec or driver.  Try reinstalling the sound card driver or download a codec pack like Ace Media Codec Pack found http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Enc...-CoDecS-Pack.shtml

Problem solved, it seems that AC3 Config is a little more complex than it looks.

Weird it should be set as a default configuration and the default configuration should work fine.  But live and learn I guess :D
