[Nerdy Observation]Forum clock by Anubis on 03-06-2005 at 08:46 PM

I just checked against a few internet time servers, and the forum clock is approximately five minutes behind from all the time servers...

I can't do anything about it, and neither can wj or surfi, unfortunately. Yeah, it sucks.

Is it because C2 Media's servers suck with time? If it is I'm really so unexplainably prepared to write to them to ask them to fix it. Its just getting confusing looking at a clock then seeing "hey I posted that 6 minutes ago"...I was hoping there was some way you could get the variable for the forum time to be from a time server, darn temporal disorientation.

User CP > Your Profile > Edit Options > Make sure it is set at (GMT **:**pm\am) and that Enable DST Correction is off.

Maybe. But they probably haven't synchronized the server time with a time server (heh ) in months. :p

BTW, if anyone's gonna e-mail the guy with root, it should be me or one of the other admins. I'll see what I can do. :dodgy:

All fixed.

RE: [Nerdy Observation]Forum clock by jren207 on 03-07-2005 at 12:01 AM

lol, i was making a php script with the time in it and it was wrong and i was like argh, then i realised that the time hadn't synced for the d.s.t. change

it's annoying not having the correct time 8-)

RE: [Nerdy Observation]Forum clock by wj on 03-08-2005 at 04:12 PM

I'll look into it. But I'm pretty sure it's correct because the C2Media admin said he installed NTPd on the server.

EDIT: It's correct.

How can you see when posts are posted and threads are made by looking at your own clock?
