Can someone tell me why the colour tags no longer work in messenger, when in insert the colour, it takes away  if i put it at the beginning, or it if i insert it after the fisrt smilie, it comes up that the name is invalid and to try again. What is the problem and is there any way around it?

Do you have text formatting enabled? Go to Plus! > Preferences > Instant messages > Commands & tags, and tick "Enable multi-format IRC style shortcuts".

Yes i have that enabled, and so does my friend and it does not work for her either, I have found a way around the problem now by changing my name using the /nick command. Instead of just copy and pasting what i want as my name into the box on pesonal settings.
