hey im trying to burn an image file, ow what I usually do is that I open it, and burn the files in it to a cd, but when i try to do that, it tells me that a file is a "read only" program and that it canot be copied or wte..

anyone has a clue how to make this thing work? cuz I rlly need to burn the image A.S.A.P.

What program are you using and what's the image file extension?

Only thing i can think of is trying to remove the read-only:
right click on the file > properties > general > untick read only

using deamon tools, file is a .bin

but does getting the read-only off affect anything???

Yep! but with daemon tools you arent burning anything:S..you are simulating i think it should work..

Anyway Follow these steps :

  • Start Daemon Tools
  • Go to the taskbar icon and press the right button of the mouse
  • Go to Virtual CD/DVD-Rom
  • Choose a Device
  • Click Mount Image
  • Go to the directory, select the file and press ok
Now go to my pc and try it..

Have you done what lilo said?...if u have and continue having problems use another prog like Alcohol 120%..you can download a free trial from their site...

lp15 - your CD Burning software (Nero for example) will be able to burn the .bin file to a CD without having to mount it with Daemon tools before hand.
