I see that Messenger Plus can now check gmail acounts with the mail checker but how do you make it so it checks the mail becuse i dont know the port or the server

The port is added automatically and is set to 110 by default. For Gmail however you need also to enable "SSL". This will set the port number to 995...

However, all this information, including step-by-step instructions can be found on the official Messenger Plus! Tutorials section on the Help Pages, specifically here.

Also, read the note about the limitations of Gmail pop3 checking within Plus!: see this message at the very top in the "help & support" forum (searching first would have relvealed it ;)): "MsgPlus! 3.50 Pop3 Gmail Limitations"...

I'm not say that theres anything wring with plus (BTW Great job Patchou) and I'm not trying to plug it, but why don't just people use the Gmail notifier:S It has it's own little toast like thing that gives info about the mail, sender, subject and a same amount of the message itself. I know it's another app that has to be run but it's small and the tray icon can be hidden in xp if you don't want it.

I've been using it since the release in october and I enjoy it.

Cause it sucks and the toast is ugly, basicily
