The question is on the topic..blah i want to take daemon tools, quick time and a well known download program off the start up

If you look in the properites/options of the program and you should be able to untick a box that says run on starup

put msconfig dont know in english..

Go inn startup, unselect them, but make sure not to touch anything you don't know!
