A bittorent client by Pure_BY on 03-21-2005 at 02:33 PM

Hello everyone!

I want an advice in chosing a bittorent client. Until last week, I was using Azureus, but I experienced some problems with it, like it slowed my PC down a lot and crashed my system several times.

I would like a good alternative for Azureus. What client is the best in your oppinion?

Thank you :)

From what I've heard, Azureus is the best. Me, however don't use Bittorrents. They don't like my computer. Doesn't work for some reason.

Try getting the newer java from here. That made my Azuerus work better.

If you want a differnt bittorrent client, try ABC or BitTornado

BitLord has NAT traversal, which is absolutely outstanding if you're trying to download across a firewall. Also has a built in torrent creator.

Another vote for BitTornado (Y)

Although there's a slight memory leak with it. Nothing major though :P

Trust me, I've tried everything. I've used the same torrents as my friend. Downloaded about 52mb over night. He downloaded the whole thing. We are on the same connection. I've tried different clients (shareaza, exeem etc) but nothing works. Don't know why.

you've probably already choose a new client but i strongly recomend BitComet, great speeds and no port forwarding.

i havent forwarded any ports and i get up to 175kbps+

Another happy BitComet user here, I tried Azureus last week, but I liked BitComet more: it has cool features (check them out here, it's fast and downloads at a considerable speed. :)

Shareaza. Its a Gnutella 1 and 2 client, as well as an Edonkey 2000 client, and a download accelerator, and a bittorrent client. www.shareaza.com
