Is there more than 1 sound server? The reason I ask is because some sounds are playing INSTANTLY, just like that, others are delayed several seconds, and some don't play at all.

As far as I know there is only one, powerfull (Dual?) Xeon 3.2 GHz server....

That's true.. there's one server only for now... the difference between sounds can be explained by peaks in the server loads... we're still working every day to improve the situation.

how many will there be when you plan is completely implemented? or upgraded?

Well the current system is a dual P4 with HT enabled processors, so in all 2 processors with the two "virtual" ones HT creates. We're working with Patchou now to try and sort out a way to reduce the load and provide better performance on this server.

Well... soon there might be plenty more servers, if the MSG plus members start to use it more often and it bites the bandwidth.
