What is the server that I can use to get notified of my Gmail messages? I've tried gmail.com http://www.gmail.com, and gmail.google.com, but they don't work.

You can find that information in the Help pages of Gmail.

But the server is pop.gmail.com.

Oh, and also look at the little link in my signature "MsgPlus! Help", it's a link to the tutorials on the official site. :) It might be useful to read those.

Gmail has a few limitations (not a Plus! bug). Here you can read about it => CookieRevised's "MsgPlus! 3.50 Pop3 Gmail Limitations"

Thanks, that worked, but then I got a pop up saying I had 97 new messages in my Gmail inbox, but I really had 7. :S

If you'd read CookieRevised's "MsgPlus! 3.50 Pop3 Gmail Limitations" carefully, you would also have read the sentence:

"However due to the way Gmail stores emails (using labels instead of folders and “threading” sent & received messages together), it will not return the correct number of new emails when Plus! checks for it."
