im actully doing an english research on how internet changed your life, if it did..

so if you could post a little about urself and then the change that happened after egtting internet at home or getting internet at office or wte.. thx y all.. appreciate it

i dunno, just one day we got the internet at home and i've been on the computer ever since

i can't imagine my life without it, cuz other than in person, this is the main way i communicate with my friends. ...i hate phones. i use it all the time to do research for school, i actually would not be able to take some of my classes if i didn't have access to the internet at home

Didn't really change my life as such, but im alot more confident and chatty with random strangers thanks to MSN. Also gave me access to a wider variety to knowledge and leisure facilities available

A lot, i had a pc when i was about 4 or 5 ...I spent the days here...playing crappy games like winter sports and stuff...i just love pcs...i still spend the days here..I LOVE PCS...
Oh and it made my life happier

Internet is...very important to me i am in the internet most time i have nothing to do and when im not at school.
Oh well i love internet its a window to the world. I know people trough this forum from all the places in the world from canada to india to australia netherlands etc etc etc. Which wouldnt be possible wihout internet

hmmmmmmmmmm being able to talk to ma m8s on msn is kool. find out a lot of things that you wouldn't face to face...

Before i have internet i just use the computer to work work work...and i was borring all the time.
But now it's great! Gives me alot of information and i can meet many people.

well... the internet change my life cuz know instead of talking on the phone or writing letters I can chat, talk to friends with programs like messenger, hear all the music I want, play netgames and even do my homework

Tbh, the internet couldn't have changed my life more than it did

I wouldn't be doing the same subjects at school, I wouldn't be after the same job, I wouldn't have the same mates (even at school) and I think my life would be a lot more boring.

It changed for good i comunicate thanks to MSN and nothing would be the same without it, i remember those days with my dial up connection, all day connected my parents said calm down get a life (not exactly that words) but something like that .. and now with my Cable connection everything is fine no one say a word .. Internet is changing and we are changing with it..

The first time I used Internet I was 13 years old, and I went to a cyber for 30 minutes (at that time it was $4 USD for 30 minutes) for a school project thing. I went there and I didn't know how to use Internet Explorer. I just sat there and typed an address, and the 30 minutes were gone.

So, after that I got to visit my father on US, and he had Internet. I became an Internet n00b in a month.

After that, I spent the next 2 years trying to get Internet in my home. I spent a lot of money on a cyber in the corner of the block. In 2002, after trying a "free" Internet connection (I ended up spending $500 in a week ), my mother decided to get a dial-up connection.

In 2004 I went to see my dad again, and he had broadband connection. I came back here and there was DSL in my town (finally ) and now I'm using that.

To me it's about communication, learning and having fun. It's something I can't have in RL, because of the stupid place where I live and other factors I will not mention. I get a lot of information from the Net. It's fun, and why not?

Internet plays a huge role in my life. To be honest, I depend on the internet for most anything. As far as school work goes, I do it all on the web. There is so much information on the internet!

Internet is also my top form of communication other then in person. As for entertainment, Internet does well in that area too. What would I do without Runescape?

Also, I learn ALOT from the internet on an everyday basis. Polls, Threads, News sites, I get smarter everyday just surfing and I find the information always find itself usefull sooner or later. When I am not with my friends, The internet IS my life.

I chat to my friends every night and always check a certain few sites

I hate using the phone, so I use the net to communicate with my friends

No internet = *TD goes insane

internet has helped me in so many ways i have met new people and hade a great time on here and still plan to do so

also using the internet i was afraid that i would turn into a fat guy but i have been able to control my health as well

The Internet is a very important part of my life. I met two of my best friends thanks to the internet. At first I got it because my uni degree required me to have internet access at home, but then I started using it for entertaining purposes. That's when I started visiting forums and using MSN Messenger, and when I met the people who later became great friends. Thanks to the internet we communicate, we exchange files, we buy our plane tickets, and we plan our meetings.

I can't imagine my life without the internet.

whenever im bored i know that i have something to do as long as me brother aint on it but it passes time and is great fun and im no longer bored anymore cuz internet kicks ass and deres so much to do online

I love internet Its so much easier to just chat with someone (even if you dont really have anything important to say), and its fun, and information is so much easier to find! (for example, if i want to know in what movies a certain actor also starred, i can find it real easy )

Had the internet since I was 10 and yeah..... I dont know what or how it has changed my life.

Internet changed my life alot, before some time, when we had Dialup, I was never on computer, when we got Broadband and a router, with my own computer, it changed me alot, Now I can code PHP, Perl, and learn alot of things. Get into projects, it addicted me. Oh, and it made me a cheap-ass downloading illegal cracked programs. =P

The internet has changed my life in a way as its what I use every day when I get in from school. Use it to chat and to do work. When I had a really nasty virus and could not use the internet for a week, I suddenly realised how much I use it.

i remember the old days, back when i was 9, there was a computer downstairs and occasionally as a treat we would get access for 30 mins on a 28K connection, my brother used to use it, and i slowly learnt, i mainly went on for music, and i played games emailing myself (i was only 9), then at like 11, the local library were providing internet access, so i was down there all day every  day, i then got into a few forums and i finally got email, i now have DSL, i come on in the morning before school, and after school, i have no freinds in real life, i dont egt on with anyone here, ive tried, but nothing, i have a lot of great freinds online, i am always around to give people support with there websites/forums etc, i have, just over the past few months, went from 15 contacts on msn, to 148, and i have like 100 on yahoo and same on aim, i feel  the internet helps me get day to day, my parents say im wasting away my life away online, what do they know, they dont have to go through what i have to, i feel happy online, i use like 15 forums, and am very active on them all, i have learnt a lot online, and i have grown up a lot with help from people online, ive learnt a lot and cant imagine life without it, its such a great technology, and its a huge network, nobody can ever have boredom while online, theres always someone willing to talk to you (if theres not, im here). but anyway, enough of my essay, i hope that helps

The internet didn't really ever change my life, it only provided me access to a vast database of knowledge .

eric, trust me, you dont know me at all, sure ill tell anything, but trust me, i have no freinds, no life, nothing, ill gladly tell you if you have a few months on msn to talk, but nobody knows everything or even a little about me, they may think they do, not even family, and a girlfreind, thats an understatement, a logn distance online, see how sad my life is aigh?

The internet brought me to these forums and i've never left them

plus, chatting to people on MSN is good, I can talk better through the internet to people that in real life (i know that sounds stupid) and also the internet is great for reasearch and is useful for coursework/homework.
