Display bug in msn 7.0.0777 by Apatik on 04-03-2005 at 09:23 PM

i noticed that some emoticons were incorrectly displayed in the conversation window, in the yellow bar saying "your contact may not answer because blablablah". (see attachement)

the contact had two "(l)" in her nickname, displayed as "((l)". she was not in my contact list, but i was in hers. (the first "(" disappeared when i added her).

maybe due to the link "add the contact to your list" appearing when a contact is not on your list... but it's just my guess :)

using :
windows xp sp1a
msnmsgr 7.0.0732
msgplus! 3.50.124

as i'm not a msn beta tester, i thought i'd let you know, i didn't make further tests though...

Using msn messenger version 7.0.0732 if you're not a beta tester is illegal, for the latest public msn version :

thanks for your *so useful* advice.

note that i'm not complaining or anything, it's more like reporting a maybe (or maybe not) known bug, so an *official* tester might report it on its own...

in that case, since it is a public version, you can also report the bug yourself:
