Large display pic problem - msn 7.0 by sarahmarois on 04-06-2005 at 03:25 AM

Hi everyone I have Messenger Plus and stuff plug ng which I just downloaded a few days ago, and msn 7.  Anyways when i make my display pic larger it shows up in the msn chat box to ME as bigger, but my contacts say it still appears the normal size.  They are getting annoyed of me constantly asking "is my pic big now?"

Anyone know what's going on?  Any ideas?
Thanks-
Sarah

Yes, they need Stuffplug in order to see the picture big as well.

Whhhhhhhhhat! that sucks! I had a plug in before that a friend gave me and nobody else needed a thing to see my bigger pic.  Problem is it doesnt work with 7.

Your contacts never needed to have the plugin when you were using 6.2

Since the upgrade to 7.0, they now also need the plugin to see your large dp's

It is caused by the way MSN 7 works.

Oversized Display Pictures

Here is a little guide on oversized display pictures:

First, enable oversized display pictures on Stuffplug NG.

Then add the display picture you want and you will see a resizing box. Resize it to the size you want and click ok.

With oversized display pictures enabled you can see your display picture the size others will see it. NOTE: To see oversized display pictures on 7.0 and above you need Stuffplug NG and oversized display pictures enabled. On 6.2, you do not need anything.

yes deffinate issue, the other contact needs stuffplug-ng with7.0, for now you and your contacts should probably stick with 6.2 because if you like the feature so much then u might wanna use for as long as you can once 7.o comes out with its final version, the other ppl will need stuffplugng to see your large dp's

im not sure if it will be possible to go back to the way before but i highly doubt it :(

esides alll of my contacts get annoyed with my dp's being big so maybe its for the best *-)

I don't use them that often as they take up too much space (screen).

As for the problem just link your contact to Stuff Plug Website and ask them to get it :)

Don't forget they have to configure SPNG to allow larger DPs aswell.

MSN 6.2 - no need for the plugin to see em bigger
MSN 7 - SPNG needs to be installed and configured to see DP's bigger because MSN 7 autoresizes DPs.
