MSN Messenger 7.0 + MsgPlus! by MenZa on 04-10-2005 at 02:36 PM

Right.

As we all know, MSN Messenger 7.0 has been officially released. This is a good thing. I noticed that it has loads and loads of great options.
One of the things I think is really good, is the 'Show Current Music Track' in your comment to other MSN Messenger users.
The only problem is this: I use foobar2000.
If an option could be implemented in MsgPlus! for programs like foobar2000 and Winamp. If you add Winamp, please consider adding foobar2000 aswell.
It's a great program. I'm sorry if this suggestion has already been posted, but I had no idea what to search for ;)

YOu can download the patches so that winamp can be used for the "Show current music track" feature...

This can be found here: http://msnblog.stuffplug.com/wp-content/gen_msn.zip...

But only well known and mostly used programs will be added, maybe the less known ones later... It will never be added to messenger plus! i'm afraid though :(.

I don't think this option will ever make it into Plus!, seeing as there are other patches out there who can do this already. Take a look at http://www.myplugins.info for example :)

There isnt a plugin to do what you want using foobar.

There is one to use with Winamp 2.5, Windows Media Player, Musicmatch Jukebox and iTunes.

Its called Song2Nick check it out here: http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=18116&page=1

I hope ive helped.

Thanks to Traxor.
Although it is a bit of a pity this will never be integrated into Plus. It is a great function, and well - it's great to have it all in one pack ;)
