No I don't have mute on and no I don't have my audio turned down. I know that it's just the media players as else where the sounds are playing. Can you help me? I am using Windows Media 10 and Media Player Classic and both of them don't work. RE: My Sound on Media Players by Anubis on 04-11-2005 at 12:37 PM I have the same problem from time to time. I put it down to Windows interfacing with the sound card. Just reboot your computer and it goes away. RE: My Sound on Media Players by _Humphreys on 04-11-2005 at 12:40 PM It doesn't it's been like this for 3 days now. RE: My Sound on Media Players by Anubis on 04-11-2005 at 12:47 PM
First of all, check this problem isn't that your speakers are broken in some way by using them on a TV or just plug some headphones into your computer, if they work, you know it's the speakers. If none of that works; RE: My Sound on Media Players by _Humphreys on 04-11-2005 at 12:48 PM No, please read my post before trying to help me. The sound only doesn't work on Media Players. quote:I have read your post. Media Player relies on your sound card to work. Therefore you should try what I said RE: My Sound on Media Players by _Humphreys on 04-11-2005 at 01:08 PM Why would my other sounds work if my sound card needed upated drivers? RE: My Sound on Media Players by Pyroteq on 04-11-2005 at 01:09 PM different codecs and running files RE: My Sound on Media Players by Anubis on 04-11-2005 at 01:14 PM
quote: Loads of things use your sound card to process sounds. There's loads of different streams that can be sent to your sound card. Everything has slightly different ways of interfacing with your sound card to get an output and render media. Media Player (both the moded classic and the new one) have ways of doing this. So Media Player may not be interfacing with your sound card correctly...and like many of these types of problems updating assures full compatibility. RE: My Sound on Media Players by _Humphreys on 04-11-2005 at 01:16 PM Windows say that all my drivers are updated and it can't find any new versions of the drivers. The sound still does not work. I find that goldwave can play aduio no trouble though. RE: My Sound on Media Players by Anubis on 04-11-2005 at 01:22 PM
Still try finding reinstalling the drivers. Reinstalling has a habit of fixing these kinds of problems cleanly. RE: My Sound on Media Players by _Humphreys on 04-11-2005 at 01:40 PM I decided to use a system restore since I hadn't made any harsh changes to my pc. It worked and my audio is now fully working. Thank you Anubis and Scone for your help I appreciate it. RE: My Sound on Media Players by Pyroteq on 04-11-2005 at 01:41 PM
S'alrite glad you worked it out without much trouble RE: My Sound on Media Players by Anubis on 04-11-2005 at 02:11 PM Glad I could help RE: My Sound on Media Players by Exca on 04-11-2005 at 04:35 PM
well as i'm a dj i work with pro soundcards and stuff, i guess i would got out if i got some time on your computer. Anyway audio works with a driver, windows, asio, kernel, whatever, you just decide which one you like te most. Make sure you got one of these, in circumstances these can be removed accidently... Also, you have much more faders than just those of your windows mixer that opens with a click on the litte speaker. Rightclick and select properties may open a new window, and you'll get to new faders defenately. Some programs mute sound automaticly, if you don't shut off right or the program crashes you'll stick with it... big chance it was just a setting.. |
