Thats the uhh Mcaffee updater is it not? Try re-installing whatever program it may be before you go playing with all your dll files and everything
You can also try searching your pc for 'icmp.dll' and if its moved somewhere you can put it back in its place.

Search your computer using the Start>Search tool for updsvc.exe and find out what it is by looking at its destination folder, then reinstall.

icmp.dll (ICMP Library) - Details
Icmp.dll is required for windows to operate. ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) is used when networking. It ensures the integrity of information being sent across a network. If icmp.dll is unavailable Windows will not be able to communicate with any other comoputer (for example over the internet).

icmp.dll is flagged as a system process and does not appear to be a security risk. However, removing ICMP Library may adversly impact your system.
I have icmp.dll in 3 directories in my windows dir. (Win XP - SP2)
You might wanna check if imcp.dll is missing in one of these directories. (remember to turn on the 'show hidden / system files' thing).

icmp - icmp.dll - DLL Information
DLL File: icmp or icmp.dll
DLL Name: ICMP DLL

Description:
icmp.dll is a module used by Windows 2000 products.

Part Of: Windows
System DLL: Yes
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
download at: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?icmp

Place this in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 (that's where it is in my case), copy the one thats inthere first for backup

Then register it:
start > run > type: regsvr32 <path to file><enter>

After doing that reboot and see if the problem is solved. If not it might be needed in another program file folder f.e. Freshdevices (i got that dll inthere aswell)

My guess is you are using a program that needs it, as its only happening on your account. Using any Freshdevices programs?

That download page says:
File description: ICMP DLL, v. 5.1.2600.0 (xpclient.010817-1148)

But all the icmp.dll files I have in those dir's in my last post are version 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)

So I guess your version is for an unpatched xp machine...
So Absorbation, if you have SP2, you should use this version (see attachment).
