gr8, my friend wants to send me a song. is that so bad?
so i got rid of msn file extention blocker. and now windows is intefering with it as well. LEAVE ME ALONE i cry. i got the song on my pc and then windows blocked access to it when it was actually ON my computer. i got her to send me another another, but still the same occured! surely this is out of line. Thsi happens when i click the "open" button in msn. if i don't click it and just open the file it's fine.

I mean fair enough, people won't take responsability for what they open on msn. surely mp3s don't need blocking? it's as ludacris as my parents saying that u can get viruses from pictures e-mails without attatchments. Surely Microsoft have slightly more up-to-date knowlege than that?

This was made by wtbw. Try this.

A-patch and the patch posted by Matty, both seem to work fine for me. What did you use PenguinBoy, to get rid of the file extension blocker?

Didn't PenguinBoy say that Windows is blocking him from opening recieved files from inside MSN Messenger, not that MSN Messenger was blocking him from sending them?

PenguinBoy, take a look at your security settings, the Windows XP Service Pack 2 dialog should give you an option to open the file.

This dialog says MSN Messenger in the title, but appears even if I open the file from My Computer:
