[Suggestion] A professional "Apply" button? by Tantawi on 04-12-2005 at 10:40 AM

Hi all,

I have a quick suggestion here and I hope Patchou is reading :) It's my second suggestion after this: http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=26...d=253928#pid253928 and thanks Patchou for listening (Y)

In the config window of MsgPlus, the "Apply" button is always enabled even if the user made no changes, and it stays enabled after clicking it (not like any other "Apply" button in windows, for example: display properties in windows). I hope you got me.

I know it's not a big deal, but If we implemented the enhanced "Apply" button it'll look great and more professional :)

Thank you!

I never noticed, but it WOULD make MsgPlus! look a lot more professional. Great suggestion, keep it up. Patchou, read ;)

Dosnt bother me personally, but it probly would make it look more professional

another related suggestion is to hide the window after clicking OK, because when you click there's a little time before the window closes... it DOES hide the controls, but hiding the window would "look" smoother

I agree with both suggestions here: the APply button should only be enabled if there are unaccepted changes, and OK should hide the form, then unload it.

Hi,

To be honest i dont really think it makes much difference :P, it still does the same job....

only if Patchou works on that non-needed little nitch, i.e. needing to detect when something has been altered in pref's etc, then he wont have as much time working on other cool features :P! :P

Kind Regards,
XM4ST3RX

It's actually very quick and easy to add such a 'feature'. It could probably be done in about 5-10 minutes.
