hello ..
i have msn 7.0.077 french ..
i had Messenger Plus 3.51 (the latest)

and then when i installed Messenger Plus and msn 7 ... there's a startup problem ..
i run MSN Messenger 7.0 ... but the icon near the clock is freezing in "connection mode" (it tries to connect) and then after 1 or 2 minutes ... it's normal and my session opens .. then i can talk to friend ...

but everytime i star msn it's like that ... sometimes i have msn closing alone .. and it takes so long to start again too ...

So i uninstalled Messenger Plus! and now ... it's normal .. i start msn 7 correctly and immediately ..

i don't know what's happening .. i have put the "alternative mode" to try but ... no use ... it's the same ...

i want to use Plus! (with Stuffplug , Filetransfer plus , Screenshot Sender 3)
and log conversation etc ...

if anyone has the same problem ..
and better .. if someone have the solution ... ??

i think ur pc does not meet the required speed for the software and plugins u r trying to use with msgplus and msnm... thats y u r facing this......

ouch i have a good PC i think ...
P4C 2,4 Ghz .. 512 DDR400 ... MB Asus P4P800 Deluxe .. Hard disk maxtor SATA 80gb ...

i have uninstalled all the plugins .. and tried Msg+ and msn7 alone ... but still the same ...

what can i do ?

well everybody does have that problem coz i had it too and i have heart other people on irc complaining bout it so i think there is a new bug or something in it so you just have to try again and wait you will sign in msn after a couple of retry's

my sister is using the same PC so .. as she never stops complaining ... i uninstall plus first ... then i'll wait for a solution ahaha thx then ..

yea I have the same problem too.  really annoying whatever it is...

I just want to say that even with the new release of Msg+ .. i have the same problem ...
i mean the MSN 3.52(.130) ....
so bad ...

Do you have any other MSN Messenger addons? Like as MessengerDiscovery?

I'm having the same problem with sharky.

A plugin you downloaded could be interfering with this.

Secondly, are you running many programs when you try to open MSN Messenger? If you run alot of program it will slow down your PC

It was running ok at the begining like about 1 month ago and yesterday i discovered that problem. I have a plugin installed but it's not active for a long time and i don't have alot of programs running. I even tried to run msn at windows startup and then signin.

yeah sorry for msn 3.... i don't why i wrote that ! ahah
sure it's Messenger Plus 3.52

and beware .. "before each other" ???
i have nothing else installed ..
just MSN and Plus .. that's all !
it's still the same .. msn icon freezes in the task bar ...



to complete my post ... my msn without plus is working very well .. my PC is a good one ...
the problem is that MSN  Messenger 7 final can't work with Messenger Plus! 3.52 and before ..  it makes a mess when i run MSN Messenger which may take 2minutes to run ..

for the moment i just uninstalled Plus and Messenger is working very well ..

i miss Messenger Plus !

Try a clean install of Plus!:
- Uninstall Plus! including preferences and plugins if you haven't already done so (if unsure about telling it to delete preferences etc. reinstall Plus! again first)
- Reboot
- Remove all folders in program files folder pointing towards messenger Plus (might be more than one folder)
- Reinstall Plus! again.
