The removal tool can be found here http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/ven....removal.tool.html

For one of my friends this tool worked, for another it didn't but Spybot Search and Destroyer deleted it.

You got to be pretty stupid to actually click on it though.

Heh, common sense is still the best antivirus, thanks for the warning though.

FYI, tell your friend to get antivirus, "Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2005" is what I suggest.

Ah, that was exactly what I was looking for, thanks a bundle.

NOD32 Antivirus doesn't detect it...grah.

I clicked the link out of habit, downloaded it and poked it around for a bit with various scanners (no positives, which was a shame) and then deleted it. Obviously it was a virus, but I like doing these things ;)

Just needed the removal tool to tell friends.

I never get viruses ^_^.

Edit: Just want to ask sonicsam what exactly is the point of being as fast as sound AND light, seeing as light is faster anyway :S

Non-well known anti-virus' probably don't get definitions early in the stages of the worm being created, try getting something like McAfee... a bit safer ;).

I clicked it, that doesn't make me stupid. Its only stupid if I opened it, I downloaded&scanned it with:
