i dont know what happen to my internet on this computer io have 2 OSs and this one the internet works but on the other one it doesnt i get and error message saying ...

i tried doing the set up home network thing and when i click repair i get the second message someone please help

that happened to me a while ago, didnt have internet for a while then some guy came in to hook up my web tv and it fixed it so id say just call the ppl that run ur internet, it seemed to fix my problem. Other then that there has to be something he did but im not sure what :undecided:

that is usually a IP conflict

this happens when 2 machines have the same ipaddress on the one network

you might need to contact your isp and have them help you set the connection back up

I got this error a while back and it was really frustrating. I'm running Windows Xp SP2 and theres a command which resets the winsock keys in the registry. This worked for me, but will only work with SP2.

Start -> Run -> type 'cmd' (without quotes)

In the command window, type 'netsh winsock reset catalog' without the quotes.

No problem. I know how annoying it can get. I was without internet for a week and i phoned up so many companies and no one could offer any help. Then I found that command on a forum and it worked and I was so pleased. Anyway, glad you fixed it.
