Come-back Message Timestamp by Shao on 04-25-2005 at 12:36 PM

Instead of having to type a timestamp every time I send a come-back message, I think a timestamp should be automatically inserted at the end of the message so the person receiving it will know when it came. Sometimes an offline contact won't come on for hours or even a matter of days, and then come on and receive the message, clueless as to when it was sent before. Sometimes I forget to include the date/time I write the message.

I hope that a timestamp which includes the time and optionally the date is implemented into a future release of MsgPlus!

Do you mean a timestamp of the time the contact receives the message or when you wrote it? if it's the first thing, use the (!T) tag to show the current time.

If it's the second one, you can't do that.

you can set a time there the automessage will expire and won't be sent.

Note also that the goal of comeback messages is to send a message as soon as the contacts signs in, so you don't forget about it and you are sure the contacts receives it. If you think the contact won't sign in for a lot of time, maybe it would be better to send him/her an email :)
