ok, ive got microsoft office 2003, and it is extremely easy to add your hotmail account to it, but i was also wondering if i could add my gmail account....but i dont know how? would it use POP3? IMAP? HTTP? if i can do you know the address or information i need to set it up? or where i could find it?

ok first go to your gmail and go to settings. Then go to Forwarding And Pop. Enable pop and then read this
