Feature Request by saurabhj on 05-02-2005 at 01:49 PM

I am sorry that I have to create a new thread, but I did not find any 'General' feature request thread nor a link to send the request directly to the MSG Plus team.

Anyways, call me lazy, but this could be a nice feature ...
When you move your cursor over the Messenger icon, it shows :
"MSN Messenger (Signed in) - Your status"

Could a feature be integrated, where it also shows the list of people in your contacts who are signed in ... inside the tooltip ?

This could save us the trouble of having to open MSN ( I did say you could call me lazy ) :P

Is this possible to do ?
Or the basic MSN Messenger cannot be hacked to this extent ?

Thanks a lot anyways ...

- Saurabh

Your thread was posted in the correct forum, so no worries about that :)

This topic has come up fairly recently, actually; you might be interested in reading alegator's reply to [updated 01/05/05] A-Patch v1.1.5 - Added even more features! and the posts after that :)

Messenger Plus! isn't made by a team, just by one person, Patchou

But it would be possible to make, but i think tooltips have a limit of 256 chacters so you wouldnt be able to fit many contacts in it.

How about using the Show contacts on desktop? Kinda a mini contact list

There's a plugin currently in development you may be interested in. It automatically hides Messenger at the side of the desktop.

Hey .. good links .. both of them ...
Can I mention that there is also a MSN Ghost which I recently installed which kinda lets you patch the MSN Messenger and remove all the useless stuff ...

Very similar to Ahmed's plugin from the first link.
