You know how programs have trials for a certain amount of days. Where is that stored?

Ok so pretend I have photoshop tryout version and it expired. Where is all the expiration date stored on your pc? Would it be possible to change the date?

It can be stored on various locations on your computer.

We would then pretend that this thread would be closed due to discussing illegal use of software.

hint: the program's trials are based on COMPUTER DATE, which is MODIFYABLE

some trial programs leave registry keys behind when you uninstall them telling them that the trial has expired. Just delete them from the registry and reinstall.

Although all trials have different ways of determining when the time has expired.

But some programs seem to hide them so they're hard to find and delete... :dodgy:

not always... In fact most of the trial periods are NOT based upon the computer date!

Which can be extremely hard to find, even if you're an expert in the registry...

Also, many programs store this kind of data (encrypted) in the registry or even in simple (but still hard to find) data files on your HDD or in not related basic Windows files.

exactly, and most of them are not directly based upon the PC's data/time, but rather on the amount of days since the first installation.

moral: unless you have extremely good knowledge on what your searching for, you wont find it. Besides, it is absolutely illegal to try to alter such things...
