This may sound noobish but i joined in february when i found the forum by seeing the public beta, but how does someone become a beta tester.

I don't care if i am a beta tester or not. Apparenly patchou decides but he isn't as active anymore. So how do new people like me become beta testers someday.

If you want to participate in the BETA testing project, as soon as a new BETA series is released e-mail Patchou and ask him if you could participate. As long as you do it to help out plus, and not just for the whole "I'm a BETA tester" thing, he'll be glad to accept you if you really can help out.

Well, Patchou told me I could be on via. email, shortly after creating the Messenger Plus! Support site etc...

Other people had something like 2 hours to send an email to Patchou, this happened about 1 month after I was picked...

Without me, James wouldn't of been a beta tester

As you can read in many related threads. Beta testers are picked by Patchou if he needs some... To be a beta tester you need to know the ins and outs of Messenger Plus!, have a big knowledge of computing in general (need to know how to handle files, problems, bugs, and other stuff like that) and above all Patchou needs to be able to trust you.

Trust is important as he won't want the beta's leaked. So he asks for beta testers every so often and you can sign up?

I counted 57 so thats quite a lot, but think about how many people use Plus! thats tiny i guess

I had actually also been wondering how to become a Beta tester for Plus. This thread has answered my questions though Maybe when the next Beta is released i'll Email Patchou and ask him nicely.

I don't think that Patchou would like any beta testers for a while, there are enough now, and the newest versions of Messenger Plus! were hardly buggy at all!!!

I think the entire beta testing team did pretty well .

Hello,

First off, i'd like to say that the chances of you becoming a beta tester by emailing Patchou are slim to none.  Patchou chooses people who he trusts to test the Beta and such and who knows Messenger Plus! Inside Out.

I think the next best chance for a Beta Tester to be added will be for Messenger Plus! 4, IF Patchou were to create one.  He currently has not announced one and doesnt have plans for one yet, as far as I know.  But yeah, its the "Big Version Releases" that he usually will add testers, as far as I know.
