Network wallpaper ^o) by M73A on 05-11-2005 at 04:28 PM

my school has this thing with the desktops.....if it is connected to the network it has the lame school wallpaper, but if its not on the network you can change the wallpaper (on the laptops cause not as many permissions anyway....) but as soon as u plug the laptop into the network the network wallpaper comes up??

1 - how can i do this myself?
2 - how can i get round it?

This isn't a standard function in Windows (AFAIK) and is probably done by some 3rd party application...

EDIT: @Wabz: If you could find that out, I'd be much interested... thx...

It is actually a standard function.  Its something to do with policies running from the Domain controller.  You should be able to change it everytime you logon but it should be deleted when you logoff. I'll check to see what it is

It's defined by Windows Active Direcotry Grop Policy, It essentially lets admins say what you can and cant do on your PC.
