Need help installing new theme - Printable Version

Need help installing new theme by Lt.Col.DraGon on 05-12-2005 at 08:45 PM

Hi guys,
I need some help installing a theme that was released a few days ago called Luna Element which can be found here ...

I followed thestructions exactly where and how to extract the files to, but when I go to choose it through the 'themes' contol panel the preview image is just a black box with some horizontal blue lines through it.
I dl'd the file a couple of times so either it's corrupted in the forum, or I'm not installing it properly!
Please help me out if I'm doing something wrong. I have installed several other themes without a problem, but perhaps yours nees something special.

Install either StyleXP or the Neowin Uxtheme Patcher

Both avaible on the one and only Google :D

(I suggest the UXtheme patch.)

I did patch the file, then when i go change the theme, the screen there is black with some lines and when i press apply, it comes with the Windows Classic theme. I am using XP..

And when i try to apply Neowin Patcher thing, I get this error

Err .... u could just download it and install
Style Xp 3.04 then just
go and add this theme to it and then apply it :D ur done. only thing is
that u can have style xp for 30 days then u have to buy it :)

Lt.Col.DraGon what does the window look like when you go to appearance and select the skin there? Does it work?

It is black, i try selecting the color scheme and there are the 5 options, but when i apply them, it changes to Windows Classic

Well did u install the theme properly ?? it used to happen to me when i
had those theme files but i unistalled stylexp. if i applied the theme
via window's theme changer (rt click on desktop - properties one) then
it would turn to win classic. Try doing it with style xp.

if ur using that neowin patcher .... err. i dunno cause i havent used it yet :)
