Isn't also the format itunes plays songs in?

If i open My Documents, My music, iTunes, iTunes Music,

All the songs in this folder are MPEG4 files.

EDIT: Thanks Matty, just realised they are .m4a files.
RE: MP4 player? by Dempsey on 05-13-2005 at 06:58 PM

I thought .mp4 was like AAC or something?

RE: MP4 player? by matty on 05-13-2005 at 07:09 PM

AAC is not the same as mp4. Dempsey AAC files are m4a and audiobooks are m4b (hint hint).

Winamp will play them.

RE: MP4 player? by M73A on 05-13-2005 at 07:17 PM

i downloaded a program called mpegable....does mp4 only sort of thing and it wouldn't play them in that either....take it they're corrupt...

RE: MP4 player? by Concord Dawn on 05-13-2005 at 07:18 PM

m4a is Audio. mp4 is also audio I believe. I just means MPEG Audio 4 layer or something similar.

RE: MP4 player? by M73A on 05-13-2005 at 07:35 PM

ive got an update of mpegable and it plays.... but not in quicktime still....ah well sorted now :D

RE: MP4 player? by .blade// on 05-13-2005 at 07:42 PM

WinAmp DOES NOT play MPEG-4, it plays MPEG, but only Quicktime plays MPEG-4 [legally].
