What could be causing my game to not run? by .blade// on 05-14-2005 at 05:23 PM

Ok, yesterday before I went to bed Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst was running fine, but I go to play today and it won't load. It shows N-Protect, it caches the files then launches the game, the screen turns black then it goes back to the desktop.

I tried re-installing and also un-installing, deleting the program files folder, then re-installing and it still won't install.

I tried running it on Windows XP x64 (same PC, same game install) and it runs, though it doesn't work properly bcz it's not x64 compatible.

Anyone have any suggestions?
These are the current running processes:

I know what most of them are (Printer drivers, joystick drivers, anti-virus, STEAM, MSN Messenger, Daemon Tools, FreeRam XP Pro, Gmail Notifier, Colorific, ASUS Probe, etc.)

Edit: Just tried Safe Mode - same thing happens :-/

Disable N-Protect and try again

I just realized it's not the game :-/

I tried to launch Counter-Strike: Source and it says "Unable to initalize Shader" :( I'm gonna tweak my video card setup.

Edit: Oh my god, I found the problem. Camtasia didn't shut down properly when I recorded a video so hardware acceleration was disabled -_-'
