Windows Messenger 5.1.0680 released by Mnjul on 05-15-2005 at 09:55 AM

For those who don't like MSN Messenger for all kinds of reasons, Windows Messenger might be their favorite; and here is  Windows Messenger 5.1.0680 download from Microsoft updated on May 13. Currently there is only English version available for this latest build (5.1.0639 is widely available in other languages). For list of bug fixes please check KB Article 899283.

Unlike MSN Messenger, Windows Messenger is recommended for corporation use. Besides .Net Messenger service (that MSN Messenger uses), it can also connect to SIP or Exchange 2000 Server IM Service. Stick to MSN Messenger if you favor winks, animated emoticons, display pictures, etc. :)

Yeah typo fixed, thank you _cindern :chrongue:

I downloaded it last night when I first saw it was released, also you I think you might have meant to put corporation not cooperation.

I thought MSN Messenger just required IE6, or is that for non-XP machines?

Although for people who use another language then English and thus still have the previous build (5.1.0639) it is still recommended to go to the dowload center and update their Windows Messenger anyways.

Because this previous build (5.1.0639) had an (silent) update in March 2005, although they didn't updated the build number...
