What is the max. server load here anyhow

for now no, it wont be the new gfd site design... this one will be used for the final release of MP2 ... I'll use a simple temporary design in the meantime (Fraisie did it)

Say Patchou, how about making an official Plus! support and discussion chat channel?
And how about making it #MsgPlus at EFnet?

I reckon live chats can really be useful for support when you have a large database of active users....... which you do..... I sometimes prefer asking questions on IRC than searching the answers on Google.... it can be faster when you have people listening to you.

Well the only one good thing about the irc.webchat.org is that theres no bots... and loads of op'd people.

I would recommend using NullNet's IRC network.  It's more private and you can assign your own op's, plus chanserv services and stuff.  Plus it's spread across a couple servers, so speed's fairly decent.

newusers@nullnet.net for more information...

this is the first post in this thread for a month but bringing it to the top of the list says it all... you were right Patchou.

i cannot believe how many threads of every forum (except announcements ) are about sound messages or just saying hi. 
Any sign of some real S-P-E-L-L-I-T-O-U-T documentation coming to get rid of all these repetitive questions?  We could at least put a big notice on the signup page directing their answers to particular threads.  That would be the least intrusive way to make it clear to all newbies.
