do you get this error when you try to stream any file, or certain files?

Go to Tools > Options > Network

and make sure all four checkboxes are checked.

RE: C00D11BB: Cannot play file by RaceProUK on 05-19-2005 at 07:37 PM

Could potentially be a codec problem.
Try e-mailing the guys at the website, see what they think.

RE: C00D11BB: Cannot play file by Reaper on 05-19-2005 at 07:39 PM

ok. but its not just from this site its from a few others. streaming works sumtimes on some sites but 70% of the tym it wont. and i there is nothing rong with the site cos as i mentioned before i viewed videos from that site a few days ago on another computer

Since nobody else on earth seems to know what to do with this error (me and Microsoft included).  I thought I'd throw in my two pennies.  I have this exact same error and cannot play any windows media from a browser on this laptop.  It's vista 64bit with WMP 11.  The problem seems to be in WMP, when you go to Options - networking.  The plugins list is blank.  On my desktop machine it's RTSP and HTTP (browser) in there.  Then you can configure it.  But on my laptop that's blank.  Neither machine uses a proxy and the proxy settings are the same in IE.  I'm completely befuddled on this one cuzz there's just so many things it COULD be.  It's almost an association type error you'd expect to see.. but it tries to play the link but doesnt.   I've uploaded an image of what I think is causing this issue.  I'll try to let you know how this is fixed, IF I CAN FIX IT.
