I recently uninsrtalled msgplus as part of a fault finding excercise & stupidly forgot to back up my sounds, I found a very helpful thread thread here that described the data files that are found in a msgplus sub folder of the "all users" folder.

so I have the raw sound dat files & am not shy of editing the windows registry but so far my attempts at creating a suitble registry file to import have failed.

I reinstalled msgplus so i could see how the registry entries were made & thought this would be a good template for me to just remove these enteries after examaning them & replace new entries edited to include the old hash numbers. I've been hacking away at it for hours now & it's starting to dive me round the bend.

If anyone could provide me with an idiots guide or any pointers to getting my lost dat sounds back into msgplus i'd be very grateful
