Daily chat logs. by atmlord on 05-22-2005 at 04:50 PM

Hey, at the moment chat logs are organised monthly, is there any chance of the chat logs being made (optional) so they are organised daily?

Ok for example, you have a huge chat log with someone thats pages and pages long and you have to find something in the chat log that was on a specific day say the 17th but you cant use the find function because the times before someones name are searched so you have to go through the whole chat log to find the date. Now wouldn't it be easier to just find the chat log for the 17th and look in that?

Feedback please :)

You already can do that. Just use the Plus Tweaker you find in Plus! Tweak! for Plus! 3.52 :) and change the setting called ArchiveFileDateFmt to something like "dd MMMM yyyy" (without the quotes) :)

Besides the fact that this option already exists, like Choli said, how can you not use the SEARCH feature of notepad to search for a date in a specific chat log???? Simply press CTRL-F and enter the date and press "Ok".

If if all chats where put in 1 massive huge log, you could easly find a specific date in it by using the search function of notepad...

Or if all logs are split every second and you have millions of files, you still can search for a date by using Windows own search function...
