Hi everyone,

A small update for Messenger Plus! is now available. Version 3.54 only fixes a couple of small bugs found in version 3.52 in addition to restoring proper Unicode compatibility in every area of the software. Nothing is really new in this release, everything is working fine, users seem to be happy with the current features so there's no point in bloating the software with useless options .

There are all languages in .ini format, easy to make changes and even add your own.

How can I change the "time period" in which I can automatically reconnect/ sign in.. when you get disconnected

I can't find the options to adjust the time for that.. isn't that something that was added in this version?

Yes, so? What has that to do with stating futur version numbers and stating they might contain "something special"?

Common sense says that when there is "something special" added, the version number will jump to 3.6 or 3.7.

not in this case because the update was only a few hours old and not much people would have downloaded it by that time. Also it was only 1 language which was forgotten and I providd a link to the update of the language. In other words, not really a reason to even update the build number. If there was something even less significant than a build number, I guess it would be that which needed to increase. But still...

The languages, and other external files, are all included in the setup package and are automatically installed in the proper directories when you install Messenger Plus!. If some files already exists, they will be overwritten with the new ones...
Like Vilkku already said, the language files are installed in the Resources subdirectory of your Messenger Plus! directory.

I just updated, and saw that the text relating to the sponsor program hasn't been updated to reflect the new, easier removal that doesn't require Messenger Plus! to be removed. It still explains that you must remove Messenger Plus, then reinstall without the sponsor.

I dunno whats the problem but when i downloaded 3.5, 3.52 and now 3.54 the download stops halfway.
I am using Firefox and i think there is a problem with the FF downloader or is it something with my connection cause i tried 10 times and i could never get thru :-/
Last time i downloaded 3.52 from the Simtel server then it worked but dl'ing from the msgplus.net aint working
Update: AutoUpdate gets and internal error and thus doesnt work .... or sometimes it just hangs and messenger crashes

well, at the end if you want to uninstall the sponsor you have to launch the uninstallation of Plus (the difference is that you now can select only uninstalling the sponsor)

have you tried with internet explorer? If both with the FF and the autoupdate don't work, maybe it's a problem of your internet connection settings

seems indeed the most likely. If you can download from the SimTel mirrors and it installs fine then there is nothing wrong with the Messenger Plus! setup as both the official site and the SimTel mirrors hold the exact same file... Anyways, John Anderton, to discuss this further: "Cant update from 3.50.124"...
